I'm a photographer specializing in portrait and wedding photography. I love seeing people come together to celebrate and memorialize, and it warms my heart to capture every single one of those precious memories.
I believe the photographer you hire isn't there to just snap photos. I believe in connection and finding out who you are, so I can tell your unique story through my lens. My clients aren't just clients - they become friends.
Photography isn't my only passion. I have two degrees - a B.S. in chemical engineering and a J.D. As a practicing attorney, my passion also lies with business and intellectual property law.
My family and friends are my world. I have the pleasure of having some of the best people in my life.
Whoever came up with these babies should be kissed. I could literally eat them for every meal.
I could photograph engagement rings and other details for hours. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day.
Long story short: I'm a sucker. I now have 6 cats + a dog, and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
I was a high school senior when I decided to pick up a camera and start taking pictures of anything and everything. I constantly dragged my friends out to different locations and made them model for me. I never planned to go into wedding photography. It just kind of found me.
Around the time of high school graduation, two different family members asked me to photograph their weddings. Still wasn't planning on making this a business focused on wedding photography. Fast forward to college, and I still had people asking me to photograph their weddings. I quickly found that I loved photographing love.
I've been blessed with the best couples (and families) through the years. I'm so thankful wedding photography "found" me all those years ago.
In 2014, I graduated college and started working as a chemical engineer. I still made time for my photography business. Having that creative outlet was so important to me.
A few years later, I realized it was time to go back to school and go for my dream. I have always wanted to be an attorney. Chemical engineering was a "back-up plan" (yes, I realize it was a rather intense back-up plan), but after college graduation, life just kind of happened, so law school was put on hold. In 2017, I realized I needed to make my dream happened before it was too late.
Fast forward, I am now a licensed attorney practicing business and intellectual property (trademark and copyrights, anyone?) law in South Carolina. While the path certainly wasn't easy, and the day-to-day grind isn't always a peach, I couldn't be happier of the decision I made.
Having a photography business while being a full-time practicing attorney isn't all rainbows and butterflies. It's hard. It takes dedication and discipline to balance everything. I learned to outsource certain tasks and not overload myself. But I find a way because I just can't give it up.
I love my clients, and I love using this outlet to connect with everyone. I have two passions, and I'm so thankful I get to live out both.
