Downtown Savannah - Headshots
Y'all. Let me tell you about this retreat...
Ashton of Ashton Kelley Photography is the sweetest, most real person I have ever met. When I walked in, she greeted me with a hug and a mimosa (she had my heart then!). After I set all of my stuff down, and met my awesome roommates, I sat down in the living room and started meeting all of these awesome women. All who were other creatives in this crazy industry. When I tell you that there's not too many people that get me like these women do, I'm not kidding. So many women from so many places with so many stories. Some full time photographers, some part time, some beginners. But we were all there to network, learn from some amazing mentors, and bond with each other.
We learned everything from organization to editing to branding, but what I remember the most are the stories. The jokes. The laughter. The tears. One night we went around and just told everyone what we were most thankful for since being at the retreat. I am not a cryer and I cried. I totally blame Ashton for rubbing off on me and making me have feelings ;) But seriously, I am so incredibly thankful for all of these ladies. We listened to each other. We sat there with each other. We just enjoyed each other's presence and bonded.
Ashton, I can't thank you enough for everything you did. Not only did you put together a great retreat and a beautifully styled session for us, but you also created an environment for us to truly connect and be ourselves. To be the boss babes we were meant to be.
To all my AKP ladies, y'all are the best. I will forever be grateful for your friendships and I can't wait to see you all again!
Stay tuned for part 2 and 3 :)
P.S. Retreat Yo Self, Ladies. You won't regret it!
